MIAMI MUSIC WEEK

2026

📅 March 24-30, 2026 | 📍 Miami, Florida

💡 Casey's MMW Tips

After multiple Miami Music Weeks, I've learned what works. Here's everything you need to survive — and thrive — during the craziest week in EDM.

🌴 Miami Weather in March

Miami in late March is warm but not unbearable, and rain can come out of nowhere.

☀️ Daytime

Temperature: 75-85°F

Humidity: Moderate

Sun: Strong — sunscreen is essential

🌙 Nighttime

Temperature: 60-70°F

Humidity: Comfortable

Breeze: Ocean breeze helps

🌧️ Rain

Chance: 20-30% daily

Duration: 15 min to 2+ hours

Intensity: Drizzle to SERIOUS Downpour

🎒 Weather Packing Tips

  • Layers are optional — you won't need much warmth
  • Pack a light rain jacket or poncho — afternoon showers are common
  • Sunglasses are a huge plus — Miami sun is intense
  • Hat or cap recommended — especially for pool parties
  • Light, breathable fabrics — Sun + Dancing = Sweat

Beyond the basics, here's what you'll need specifically for Miami Music Week.

💰 Saving Money at MMW

MMW can drain your wallet fast. Here's how to stretch your budget.

Before You Go

  1. Buy tickets early — Prices increase with each tier
  2. Book lodging early — Rates increase closer to March
  3. Split your lodging — Coordinate with friends to save on hotels/rentals
  4. Use flight price alerts — Google Flights, Hopper
  5. Check your travel cards — Some travel credit cards offer specials on lodging/flights for specific areas

During MMW

  1. Pre-game at your place — Drinks at venues are $15-20+
  2. Eat outside venues — Festival food is marked up 3x
  3. Hit grocery stores — Publix for breakfast, snacks, drinks
  4. Walk when possible — South Beach is walkable, save on Uber
  5. Leave before surge pricing — Uber surges 2-4x after events
  6. Share rides — Split with new friends going the same way
  7. Skip VIP unless it's worth it — The main floor is where the party's at anyway!

Free & Cheap Events

  • Day parties with RSVP — Some pool parties or events have free tiers
  • Wynwood art walks — Free during the day
  • Beach — It's free and it's beautiful

🛡️ Safety & Wellness

Your safety is the top priority. Take care of yourself and look out for others.

Stay Safe

  • Stay hydrated — Miami heat + dancing = dehydration risk
  • Buddy system — Be careful leaving events alone, especially late night
  • Share your location — Use Find My Friends or similar with your crew
  • Set meeting points — Cell service fails in crowds
  • Watch your drinks/favors — You never REALLY know what someone has
  • Secure your belongings — Pickpockets are active at festivals
  • Trust your instincts — If something feels sketchy, don't be afraid to leave or seek support

Health Tips

  • Pace yourself — It's a marathon, not a sprint. 7 days is long
  • Sleep when you can — Even a few hours helps
  • Eat real food — Don't just survive on snacks
  • Take breaks — Skip an event if you need recovery time, or explore chill areas
  • Protect your hearing — Earplugs are cool, tinnitus isn't
  • Sunscreen, reapply — Early onset sunburn can ruin a great week

🆘 Emergency Info

  • Emergency: 911
  • Non-emergency police: 305-579-6111 (Miami Police)
  • Save your hotel address — You may need it for rides
  • Know medical tent locations — Every major event has them
  • Download the Ultra app — Has emergency info and maps

🔮 Insider Tips

The stuff that separates first-timers from veterans.

Ultra Festival

  • Turn on Notifications — The app will let you know when gates open
  • Bottlenecks are REAL — Plan extra walking time for your must-see sets
  • Main stage front row — Get there early for headliners at Mainstage, it will get PACKED
  • Screenshot set times — Cell service is terrible inside
  • Water refill stations — Learn their locations, stay hydrated
  • Update your Phone Background — Use the photos app to markup a photo (maybe set times) with a memebr of your crew's number in the event your phone gets lost.

Pool Parties

  • Arrive at open — The best spots go fast
  • Dress code exists — Some venues can be really strict and will turn you away for certain attire
  • Cabana/daybed — Worth splitting with a group for shade + table if available
  • Bring waterproof pouch or ziploc — Keep you phone/charger safe and dry

Club Events

  • Club Space terrace at sunrise — Bucket list experience
  • Factory Town week pass — Worth it if you're doing multiple nights
  • Check specific rules — Each venue may have unique guidlines
  • Some events will sellout — Consider buying a ticket early and reselling it later if you're unsure about your plans

General MMW

  • Check Reddit (r/UMF) — Great source for announcements
  • Follow artists on socials — They post secret sets
  • Make friends — Some of the best memories come from people you meet
  • Take photos, but be present — Don't watch the whole set through your phone
  • Look out for one another — Check in on your friends and neighbors and be kind
  • Check out a new DJ — Whether you follow your friends or go solo, try something new!

🎵 Final Words

Miami Music Week is one of the most incredible weeks in electronic music., and my personal favorite time of year. It can be overwhelming, exhausting, and expensive — but it's also magical, invigorating, and full of moments you'll remember forever.

My best advice? Be true to yourself. Pick your priorities, pace yourself, and leave room for spontaneity. Some of the best MMW memories come from unexpected moments — a surprise b2b set, a random pool party, a sunrise on the beach with new friends.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and dance your heart out. See you in Miami! 🌴
